More than 50 local businesses have been nominated for the Kenora and District Chamber of Commerce’s Business Awards.
President of the Chamber Andy Scribilo says they had excellent participation from the community this year.
“A very good response and if people are looking at our Facebook or any of our posts through the Chamber, all categories were very well received,” said Scribilo.
“We received a lot of nominations. which was really nice, down to the last day.”
Scribilo adds that judging of the nominees has already been completed.
“The judges have sat and decided the winners. I don’t know. None of the Chamber people know. The judges will release that on the night of our awards banquet on February 8th.”
Scribilo adds that this Thursday, January 25th, is the final day to book tickets for the Awards Banquet and a link to purchase them can be found here.
In the meantime, Scribilo says the Kenora and District Chamber of Commerce is looking to fill some vacancies on it’s board of directors.
He suggests they are looking to appoint them at their Annual General Meeting next month.
“There are going to be a few positions available in the chamber. We have over 200 members so our voice does matter.”
The Chamber’s AGM will take place just before their Business Awards Dinner on February 8th.
