The City of Kenora and the Kenora District Services Board are appealing to the All Nations Health Parters to help find a warming center.
A call to action was issued to close the current four hour gap of service when the Fellowship Center closes it’s doors and the Emergency Shelter opens.
They are encouraging the All Nations Health partners, which includes a number of agencies in the city, to pool their resources and offer supports 24 hours a day in Kenora year round.
The city says each partner in the All Nation Health Partners is affected by the on-going gap in the community and everyone has to work together to find long-term solutions.
The city says during COVID, the Health Partners worked collaboratively to close gaps for vulnerable community members and the City and KDSB are asking the Partners to rise to the occasion once again.
