A busy couple of weekends in the Kenora area.
This weekend there are three sporting events or cultural activities.
ArtsFest is taking center stage in Memorial Park Saturday and Sunday.
Sydney McInnis is one of the organizers and says they are excited to bring back their Kids Zone.
“This is a free family event, so we encourage everyone to bring your kids down, and really explore the arts, learn all about all the arts and show your creativity off,” says McInnis.
ArtsFest will take place each day from 10 am until 4 pm between the Museum and the Douglas Family Arts Center.
There is also the Bronzeback Classic fishing tournament and the Men’s and Women’s Soccer tournament this weekend.
Cindy Johnson from the Bronzeback says they’ve had a lot of interest in their fishing tournament once again.
“We previously had capped our tournament at 120 teams and right now we’re presently sitting at 129 teams, the most we’ve ever had.”
Fishing takes place Saturday and Sunday on Lake of the Woods.
Weigh-ins will take place under the Jarnel Contracting Pavilion at 3:00 each day.
