The Town of Ignace has filled a key vacancy.
It’s hired a permanent Chief Administrative Officer.
Aaron Gullins will take on that role starting on August 19th.
Gullins holds a Master in Business Administration degree, but also has extensive engineering experience in the Thunder Bay area.
“The Township of Ignace will certainly benefit from his knowledge of Northwestern Ontario, his public and private sector experience, as well as his extensive academic and professional backgrounds in administration and public works”, states Mayor Kim Baigrie.
She adds, “His previous experience in contract management, infrastructure, and the handling of multi-million-dollar projects, will no doubt, be an extremely important asset to this community as we continue our journey to become Canada’s potential first deep geological repository site.”
“My approach is rooted in my belief that a thriving community is built on strong infrastructure, effective communication, and a shared vision for the future,” says Gullins. “
He replaces Cathy Cyr, who has been in an acting role since December of last year.
Town council approved his hiring last week.
