OPP arrest two in Machin area

Two people have been arrested following an incident in Machin.

Around 10 pm on Tuesday the Dryden OPP received a call from a local business on Highway 17.

Provincial police say they called out the Northwest Crime Unit, the Emergency Response Team and a K-9 unit.

Two 36-year-old residents from Kenora, a man and woman, face a long list of charges.

They include resisting a peace officer, possession of a firearm, and possession of crime under $5,000.

They will appear in Kenora Court on Wednesday on the charges.

In the meantime, the OPP is asking anyone with property in the Gordon Lake area to check to make sure their property is secure.
