Kenora will be once again be taking part in the Coldest Night of the Year fundraiser.
The money generated will go to the Fellowship Center and Jubilee Church of God to help those in need.
Pastor Frank Kowal says they’ve had good participation in the past and is hoping for similar support this year.
“You know last year we raised $34,000 and this year our target is $35,000,” explains Kowal.
“Right now, we’re sitting at almost $11,000, which is good. We’re always amazed.”
Kowall adds that all the funds raised will be used locally.
“We have captains, and they have teams of people who go out to raise awareness and raise finances. In Kenora, it would be the Fellowship Center and the Jubilee Church of God.”
This year, the Cold Night of the Year Walk will take place on Saturday, February 22nd.
