Three members of the Kenora Figure Skating Academy will be going to the provincial championships later this week.
Waverly Wiebe, Claire Gauthier, and Jazlyn Bond all qualified, as their scores over the winter were high enough to finish in the top 18 in Ontario.
Wiebe qualified for the Star 6 Freeskate and Star 9 Artistic events, while Gauthier will compete in the Star 9 Artistic division, and Bond has qualified for the Star 5 Artistic category.
They beat out close to 300 other skaters across Ontario to secure a berth.
The Ontario Provincial Figure Skating Championships will be held in Stratford from March 21st to 23rd.
