The Neskantaga First Nation is calling on an immediate emergency response due to the health care crisis.

It says a fifth flight of evacuees departed for Thunder Bay yesterday.

But the band says there are still 26 children that remain in the community.

Neskantaga provided an update on the flooding of the nursing station last week.

It says restoration work is expected to begin early next week and take about 10 to 14 days.

In the meantime, a new duplex has been identified for conversion into a temporary clinic.
