The Kam River Walleye knocked off the top team in the SIJHL this season en route to winning the Bill Salonen (Sah-Loan-en) Cup.
The Walleye downed the Dryden GM Ice Dogs 4-3 in overtime to win the best-of-seven series four games to two.
Jett Mintenko scored the game winner 16 minutes into the extra frame.
The game was played in front of almost 900 fans at the Norwest Arena in Thunder Bay.
The Fighting Walleye also won the championship in 2023.
With the victory, the Fighting Walleye now advance to the Centennial Cup championships in Calgary May 8th to 18th.
