The Nishnawbe Aski Police has been cleared of any wrongdoing after a person sustained a broken collarbone.

The Ontario Special Investigations Unit says a suspect was tasered on December 28th.

The man was brandishing a knife at the time and refused to drop it.

The SIU says it made sense that the officer used a taser in this situation.

It’s also not known if the 36-year-old sustained the injury as a result of falling down as a result of being tasered, or after his arrest.

The location of the First Nation has not been given.
