June left Kenora about 20 years ago to live with her partner in Val D’or, Quebec where she found her forever home. June loved her new surroundings, she loved her independence, she loved making new life-long friends, and we all know she loved her bingo/slots.
June raised her four children, mostly as a single parent, she sacrificed so much of herself to be a good mother. She taught us so many things about how to be good parents to our own, we will always be so grateful to her for everything she did for us.
June was a residential school survivor and a survivor of domestic abuse. June was a warrior woman who continued to live her life the way she wanted, she was a mother, a grandmother, a sister and a good friend.
Funeral service for June will be held at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Saturday May 24, 2025 at 10:00 am with burial to follow at Shoal Lake 40.
