The Terry Fox National Ride of Hope is midway through its cross-country journey.

It will be stopping in Kenora Friday afternoon.

A special reception will be taking place at the Rotary Peace Park at 4 pm.

At total of eight riders including Terry’s brother Darell Fox and Kenora’s own Joel Stolicker are taking part.

The OPP say they will be providing an escort for the riders right across Ontario.

The 7-thousand-kilometer journey started on June 20th in Vancouver and is expected to wrap by July 2nd in St. John’s, Newfoundland.

The goal is to raise $1 million for the Terry Fox Foundation.
