It is with great sadness and with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our Father Billy Juhel Skead who was born November 6th, 1977, in Kenora, ON. Billy passed away at his residence in Wauzhushk Onigum Nation on June 16th, 2025.
Billy was the beloved son to Debbie Ann Skead and Thomas Colin Keesick, He leaves behind his children, Isaiah (Joni), Julia, Kamryn and Adam, Billy also leaves behind his two adoring Grandchildren Alaina & Talon.
Billy is survived by his siblings Terou Skead Sr. (Anastaisa) Roxanna, his nieces and nephews Sioux Haven (Samara) Terou Skead Jr., Parker Fox, Theron Fox and Kiara Fox and his beloved pets Blue and Chief, His Aunties, Uncles, Cousins, too many to mention.
Billy enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews taking them out fishing and spending time at Mcintosh for the spring spawn of walleyes, Billy developed a passion for carpentry and followed in the footsteps of his mentor Vernon Skead and became a skilled carpenter and therefore he was given the nickname “Henry”.
Pallbearers will be Justin Flett, Benjamin Fox, Garrett Skead, Bradley Fox, Jeremy Skead, Joven Skead, Greywolf Cameron, Danny Skeid.
A wake will be held at the Golden Eagle Bingo Hall on June26th, 2025 at 3:00pm, a Traditional service will be Friday June 27th, 2025 at 10:00 am. With interment to follow at Pow Wow Island.
