The former director of the Muse in Kenora has received a provincial honour.
Lori Nelson was presented with the Ontario Museum Association Distinguished Career Award of Excellence.
Nelson oversaw both the Lake of the Woods Museum and the Douglas Family Arts Center before her retirement back in June.
She was nominated for the award by both her peers and colleagues.
Nelson was presented the award, in part, for overseeing the construction of the Douglas Family Arts Center in 2019.
