The biggest of the new fires is Sioux Lookout Fire #13 which is 10 hectares in size and is currently being observed five kilometres west of Tokar Lake.

Red Lake Fire #8 is just over 5 hectares in size and it is burning 25 kilometres west of Deer Lake. It is listed as not under control.

The wildland fire hazard is moderate to high across most of the Northwest Region with a pocket of extreme fire hazard stretching from the Manitoba border into Red Lake.
