Two new, state of the art manikins have been purchased for Lake of the Wood District Hospital.

They are thanks to a $100,000 donation by Mike and Mona Linton.

The Lake of the Woods Hospital Foundation says the manikins are for the simulation lab.

Students from the Northern Ontario School of Medicine and other healthcare providers are able to use them.

The Hospital Foundation says one is for obstetrics and the other for pediatrics.

They replicate real-life scenarios on these simulators known as high-fidelity manikins.

The donation was made in memory of Mike Dufresne, who passed away this past year from cancer.
