It is with deep profound sadness we announce the passing of our loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. After a long courageous battle of cancer Henry succumbed to his illness at the age of 63. Surrounded by his wife, children, and grandchildren he passed away peacefully at the Lake of the Woods District Hospital.
Henry is predeceased by his mother Jane Kejick, father Sandy Ashin Kejick, his brother Daniel Kejick, aunts Liz Keewasin and Maria Beardy, and niece Christa Kejick.
Henry will be sadly missed by the love of his life, his soulmate and wife Ida. His children Fitzpatrick Jamieson, Jessica Nash (James), Sonny Jamieson, Colin Jamieson (Nadine), and Canaan Kejick. His sister Elizabeth (Ida) Kejick (Lawson), his brother Ronald Kejick, brother’s in law Carl Jamieson and J.P. Jamieson, his nieces and Arlene, Crystal, Shannon and nephew Wayne, grandchildren Phoenix, Aries and Aquila Nash, Dakota, Shyann, Shayna, Sylvia, Shyleen and Marleen, Elliana, Nikko, Mason, Skyy, Jade, Chelsea and Aquaila.
Henry is a residential school survivor. During his early adult life Henry lived in Winnipeg and that is where he met the love of his life Ida. Together they raised their four children whom he was extremely proud of. Later they moved to Kenora where they lived and adopted their son Canaan. He was a loving and caring husband and father and always talked about how proud he was of all his children and grandchildren.
Henry loved music, his favorite band was Pink Floyd, his favorite past-times was watching Youtube, shoreline fishing, reading, writing and drawing. Henry had many jobs throughout his life, but was always proud of the 15 years and he worked at Wal-Mart. Before his illness Henry worked for AAFS, a job he was truly proud of as well.
Henry’s family would like to extend their gratitude to the doctors and nurses at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Science Centre, Dr. Drake and the nurses at Lake of the Woods District Hospital for taking care of our dear Henry. We would also like to thank Lac Seul and Wabaseemoong for their kind donations.
