Loving husband, father, brother, grandpa and uncle, born in Kenora on September 20, 1961 passed away peacefully at Thunder Bay Regional Health Science Centre Hospital on November 15, 2023.

He was predeceased by his parents George Jack and Mary Jack (Cobiness), mamanon Gladys Cobiness (Mandamin), tetenon William Cobiness, grandparents Charles and Agnes Jack (Katcheconias), aunts and uncles, Betty Tom, Adeline Sandy, Margaret Jack, Charlie Jack, Madeline Jack, Frank Cobiness, Max Cobiness, Ron Cobiness sr, Christine Cobiness, Florence Perrault, Jerry Perrault, Delores Mainville, and grandchild Tristan Everson-Redsky.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, his greatest love Brenda Jack who never left his side, his children, Rhiannon, Jeff, Miranda (Norbert), Tanya, Ashley, his grandchildren, Willow, Keilana, Michaela, Savannah, Kadence, Patience, Eunique, Easton, great-grandchild Azraya. As well as his siblings, Michael (Deborah), Georgina (John), James (Elizabeth), Parnell, and Leona (Arnold), his aunties Effie Jack (Earl), Jane Tom, Mary Jack, Tom Jack, Joanne Cobiness (Robert), Wayne Cobiness and Merv Copenace (Tina), and too many numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins to mention.

He was a residential school survivor. He attended Cecilla Jeffrey Indian Residential School. His favourite hobbies were golf, baseball, hockey, bingo, going to the casinos, playing cribbage, and playing Texas Hold’em. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. His greatest entertainment of them all was teasing and joking around with everyone. He enjoyed listening to the drums and watching his grandchildren dance at pow-wow’s. He enjoyed watching the Winnipeg Jets and Toronto Maple Leafs with his wife. His favourite bands were KISS and the Eagles. He loved blasting his surround system with various 70s and 80s music.

He worked numerous years doing street patrol at the Ne-Chee Friendship Centre and enjoyed doing carpentry in Niisaachewan.

The pallbearers will be Arnold, Trevor, Harvey, Travis, Tyson and Sonny. Honorary pallbearers are Jeff, Michael, James, Parnell, Sherman, Merv and Wayne.

Traditional wake will begin on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 1:00pm at Niisaachewan Anishinaabe Nation Economic of Excellence Auditorium. Traditional funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 19, 2023 beginning at 10:00 am at Niisaachewan Anishinaabe Nation Economic of Excellence Auditorium led by Elder Gilbert Smith.
