Debra McKay

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Debra Ina McKay on December 20, 2023.

She is survived by her children Darleen (Mya) Nelli, (Marcellus, Elizabeth, William and Jasper, Ron Pelly Jr. and their father Ronald Pelly Sr., her parents Enus and Linda McKay, her siblings Archie, Judy, Benjamin, Tracey and Enus Jr., she is also survived by Stewart Pelly and family, Mary Pelly and family, Anne Pelly and family, Virginia Pelly and family, aunties Geraldine Fobister, and family, Roger Fobister and family and Gloria Fobister and family, as well as many nieces, nephew and relatives too numerous to mention.

Debra was a longtime resident of Kenora, she worked with the Fellowship Centre as an intake support worker for the people of the Kenora area.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2023 from 2:00pm – 7:00pm at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Centre. Debra will be transported to Big Trout Lake First Nation with Funeral Services to be held on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at 1:00pm at St. Peter’s Anglican Church with Reverend John Albany officiating with interment to follow.
