Some residents in the Red Lake area will need to boil their water.
The order is in place if you live in Balmertown, Cochenour, McKenzie Island and McMarmac.
The municipality indicates it is due to problems at the water treatment plant in Cochenour.
“The safety of the drinking water cannot be guaranteed at this time. All water from taps should be boiled for at least one minute.” Municipality of Red Lake
It will remain in effect until further notice.
