The Keewatin Library and Keewatin Senior Centre are closed indefinitely.

The building on Ottawa Street has been deemed unsafe due to a structural issue with the roof.

The City is temporarily relocating senior centre programming to the Keewatin Arena while there are no ice rentals in the facility.

A plan to find a longer-term solution for senior programming is underway.

Library services will be available through the Kenora Branch and digital library services are always available.

City engineers will work towards addressing the issue while deciding next steps over the next few months.

The city hopes to have a plan to bring service back to Keewatin in some capacity as soon as possible.
