It is with much sorrow the family of Isabel Mary Kowalik announce her passing at the Lake of the Woods District Hospital on July 13, 2024.
Isabel was born in Kenora and grew up on Black Sturgeon. She married the love of her life Ron and together they raised four children. They moved to Redditt in December 1973.
Isabel was known for her perogies, cabbage rolls, and dill pickles. She was heavily involved in the community for years. She loved family get togethers and spending time with friends.
She is survived by son Ken and wife Nadine (Letain) of Redditt. Twin daughters Cindy and Candace of British Columbia and son-in-law Glen Cranston. Her daughter Carla passed four days after her.
Grandchildren Meghan King (Bryan), Scott Cranston, Sheldon Kowalik (Crystal), Amanda Kowalik (Paul), Kyle Kowalik (Emily), Dannon Kowalik (Kaila), Shawna Lajoie, Janine Alcock-Cranston.
Great Grandchildren Treyton, Kaliyah, Courtney, Tayla, Maisie, Amelia, Ethan, Aurora, Zander, Cayden, Summer-Lea and Benjamin.
Isabel is also survived by sisters Alice Gabrielson, Shirley Hammerstedt, Georgina Campbell. Brothers Manny Vanasse (Rennie), Joe Vanasse (Val) and Roger Vanasse (Patti). Her mother-in-¬law Joanne Kowalik and sister-in-law Judy Kowalik as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
She was predeceased by her husband Ron, grandson Cameron Cranston, brothers Babe Vanasse (Albert) and Harold Vanasse, brother-in-laws Garnet Gabrielson, Rollie Hammerstedt, Al Campbell and sister-in-law Rita Vanasse.

A Celebration of Life will be held on August 3, 2024, at the Redditt Community Club starting at 1:00 pm.
A limb has broken from the family tree, I keep hearing a voice that says, grieve not for me.
Remember the best times, the laughter, the song. The good life I lived while I was was strong. Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through. My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest.
