It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother, step mother, foster mother, kokum, chi kokum Doris Henry (Agootous). She lost her hard fought battle with Cancer on August 16, 2024 with her children, family and friends by her side.
Mom (Doris) leaves to join her beloved daughter Patsy Henry, her parents John and Elsie Kent, her brothers Harold and Bob Kent, her sister Mable (Chikum) Muckle, her half sister Victoria Savoyard, as well as her aunts and uncles Jimmy Cowley, Frances Cowley, Joni Cowley, Albert Cowley, Mary, Isabelle Cowley and many nieces and nephews too numerous to mention.
She is survived by her common law partner Albert Land, her daughter Donna Klenk, grandson Jamie (Cassandra) Klenk and their daughter Addison, granddaughter Jennifer Falk and her daughter Julie, grandson Jeffrey Klenk and his children Landon and Riley and granddaughter Jasmine Smith. Her son William (Alice) and his son Clayton and his children Mikay, Destin, Aiyana, Treyton and Lyric, his daughter Stace (Brad) and her children Ethan, Grayson, PJ and Lynx, her daughter Pauline (Charles) and her children Bruce and his children D’Angelo, Reese, Animik, Belle, Barrie (Una) and his children Jordan, James, Jesse and Jace, her son Curt and his children Olivia and Kingston, her son Patrick and his children Sydney and Dimitri and great grandchild Sidney Jr., and her daughter Jodie (Benji) Muckle and their children Jack, Shelby and Lucy. As well as her sister Sally Burguss, brother Rodrick Kent and sister in laws Barbara (Perry) Kejick, Leah (Steven) Land and brother in law Tommy (Sandy) Land.
She will also be missed my many nieces and nephews Derek (Taylor) Hunter, Virginia Kent, Joey Hunter, George Hunter, Jonathon (Breena) Hunter, Rosaleen (Jimmy), Clifford Muckle, Leslie Muckle, Geoffrey Muckle, Tara Land, Montana Land, Danika Fisher, as well as many more great nieces and nephews too numerous to mention and many family members from Whitefish Bay First Nation, ON and Sagkeeng First Nation, MB.
In her younger days she worked at the tree farm in Whitedog, enjoyed tree planting, brush cutting, she came to be a caregiver for many Agencies which she loved doing. She also loved playing Bingo, she adored all of the staff that work there.
Pallbearers will be Clifford Muckle, Jonathon Hunter, James Klenk, Barry and Bruce Henry, Geoffrey Muckle and Clayton Cameron.
Her journey home will be on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 to her homeland Whitedog First Nation with her wake service being held at the WCWA Building beginning at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 and continuing until her Traditional Ceremony being held on Thursday, August 22, 2024 at the WCWA Building with Elder Howard Copenace leading the Traditional Ceremony with burial to follow.
