Solar flare boosts chances for Northern Lights across Canada Friday night

A recent solar flare has increased the likelihood of seeing the northern lights across Canada on Friday night.
The flare, which erupted earlier this week, has propelled a burst of energy toward Earth, creating conditions that could make the aurora borealis visible in many parts of the country.

The U.S. based National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is actively tracking the solar activity and has indicated that the conditions are favorable for a significant light show.

While the precise intensity of the aurora is still uncertain, the best time to view the northern lights is expected to be from sunset to midnight. The exact viewing window may vary slightly depending on your location.

Observers should be prepared to spend some time outside during these hours to maximize their chances of catching the display.
