Maurice Jr. was born and raised in Wabaseemoong. He lived happily with his family. He was a joyful kind young man who made friends easily, his laughter was contagious and always had a friendly personality. Junior went to school in Wabaseemoong and after school days you would find him playing with neighbour’s kids til the sun went down. During his adulthood, he worked for Wabaseemoong Band as a security guard for many years. Junior enjoyed watching youtube videos and sharing old pictures of his family to his relatives and friends, that was his daily hobby. He loved spending days sitting outside the band office visiting people or just driving around in the community with his jeeps. He was a very friendly soul to know, we will surely miss him. Junior often texted family and friends just to check on them that’s how caring he was. His favourite time of the season was Christmas time because he knew turkey, food and gifts would be delivered to him by his niece Pauline. He also loved watching fireworks that the band put up.

Maurice Jr. had many female friends who he loved teasing, he would giggle of the jokes and texts he did. He will be sadly missed by; Colleen Quewezance, Rose Kelly, Colleen Paishk and the late Valerie Fisher who he will meet in Heaven.

Maurice Jr. was a very nice man who loved his family unconditionally in his own way. Yet he became sick but he put on a very brave battle til the end. God saw that he was getting tired so he called him home. Maurice Jr. will not be journeying alone, he will be walking beside his nephew as they enter the gates of paradise, together they will be greeted by God and will be our Angels forever.
