Don was a chartered accountant, receiving his designation in 1968. He was in public practice for his entire working life and served as a partner of BDO Dunwoody for many years. He had clients in Kenora, Fort Frances, Red Lake and elsewhere in Northwestern Ontario. He developed many strong relationships with his clients due to his knowledge, dedication and willingness to work long hours.

Don and Donna owned a cottage on East Allie Island, Lake of the Woods for over 50 years. Many happy summers were spent with their family, boating, swimming, waterskiing and especially fishing.
Don had many other interests including travel, golfing, Friday night poker games, cribbage and spending time with his grandchildren.
Don (‘Bumpa” to his grandchildren) will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and a wonderful and generous friend.
The family would like to thank the staff at Pinecrest Home for the Aged for the wonderful care they provided Don. A private family gathering will be held at a later date. Donations in Don’s memory may be made to Pinecrest Home for the Aged, The Cat Shelter or a charity of one’s choosing.
There are special people in our lives who never leave us even after they are gone.
Yours was a life well spent.
