A 30-year-old man is dead after a shooting involving a police officer at the largest and busiest airport in Canada.
The Special Investigations Unit (SIU) says in a news release it was just before 7 a.m., Thursday when officer from Peel Regional Police were investigating a man in distress at Toronto Pearson International Airport in Terminal 1, Departures.
When police found the man, he showed a gun.
Three officers then shot at the man, who was taken to hospital where he pronounced dead.
No officers were hurt and there was no threat to the public.
