As the Winnipeg Jets continue their journey through this year’s NHL playoffs, fans have a lot to be excited about.
The Jets were the best team in the regular season and they have a great chance at a lot of post season success.
One of their players, forward Kyle Conner has inspired fans to give him a “colourful” nickname that has ties to one of the world’s most popular fast food restaurant chain.
Many fans have started calling Kyle Conner “KFC” the first and last letters standing for his initials while the middle letter stands for an “expletive” that I’d prefer not to type here…but trust me they say it with admiration.
And now, a KFC restaurant in Winnipeg’s West End paying homage to this very special Jets player by rebranding their location with new signs displaying a cartoon version of Kyle, in the style of the iconic Colonel Sanders logo.
KFC has also created buckets with cartoon Kyle’s face on them with the image printed upside down so fans can wear them as hats.
