One of the legendary ‘Beach Boys’ has died.
Brian Wilson, co-founder of the 60s U.S. rock band is considered to be one of America’s groundbreaking songwriters.
His family confirmed his passing in a social media post.
Wilson was co-lead vocalist and main songwriter for the group, which had several number ones including ‘I Get Around,’ ‘Help Me Rhonda’ and ‘Good Vibrations.’
He left the group in 1964 due to struggles with mental illness, but would work with the band and as a solo artist in following years.
Canadian group the Barenaked Ladies even named a 1992 song after him.
Brian Wilson was 82.
