As we head toward the end of June, so too are schools in Kenora wrapping up their semester. We’re not quite there yet, but students have already received their exam schedules, so once that’s over, they’re free to enjoy the summer!
Last Friday, Grade 9 and 10 students from Beaver Brae Secondary School boarded the MS Kenora to experience Lake of the Woods. For many, it was their first time on the water. They had the opportunity to learn from speakers who shared the water’s history, Treaty 3, and the Anishinaabemowin language.
This sounds like a fantastic trip for students — but what about you? Do you have a memorable field trip experience from when you went to school?
