Only one new fire popped up in Northwestern Ontario on Wednesday.
It’s about 1.3 hectares in size and out of control just southwest of Singapore Lake.
Overall 46 fires are burning in the region, with nine out of control and nine under control.
Firefighters are keeping an eye on 27 of them.
Most of the region ranges from a low to moderate fire hazard risk, with some pockets of high risk, especially the northern district of Kenora.
West of Big Trout Lake has an extreme fire hazard warning.
