Traffic is moving again on the Trans-Canada Highway after being shut down near Ignace for several hours on Tuesday.
OPP report it was because of a lone motorcycle collision that occurred just before 12 noon Central time, west of the northwestern Ontario community.
A person was killed, but no other details have been provided.
The incident forced the closure of Highway 17 between West Beach Drive and Highway 622 for much of the afternoon.
The highway was reopened to traffic around 5 p.m. Central time.
