Charles Hardy

By Erin Wilbur Aug 12, 2025 | 8:33 AM

Charles Hardy passed away peacefully July 13, 2025 with his family by his side.

Dad left us exactly two months after his wife of 53 years and our momma Judy Hardy.

He never did like being apart from her for any length of time.

Charles leaves behind his four children Tammy, Pamela, Clayton (Brandie) and Clifford (Andrea) and honorary daughter Jenny-joe Tew, eight grandchildren Craig (Amanda), Zenna, William, Micheala, Nathan, Reana, Isabelle, and Autum and four Great grandchildren Addison, Thea, Aspen and Jace.

Dad was not one to share about his childhood but when he did he never failed to mention Ma Neniska and her crew, who became his brothers and sisters when he needed a family the most. The brothers and sisters who he cared for deeply became our uncles and aunties

Charlie cherished and held a few things close to his heart. The love of his life Judy and his family.

He took every opportunity he could to go out on the lake fishing.

If you happened to stop by the house on Coker Rd., you would find him sitting at the kitchen table reading a book and sipping coffee.

In 1972 Charles received his red seal as an Auto Mechanic. Over his lengthy career he became known for his knowledge of his trade and honesty and no-nonsense approach to the work that needed to be done right up until his retirement. If you worked with him or knew him, you know what I mean.

The family gives thanks to Dr. Weibe for the care of dad over the years until his passing.

Dad had two responses when he was asked how he was doing.

“Finer than a frog’s hair” or, “I’ve been better, I just don’t remember when”

Anytime we said I love you dad or pappa his response was “I love you right back only twice as much”

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
