After an extraordinary career with Acadia Broadcasting that has spanned nearly four decades, the president is retiring.
In a press release issued by the company Friday, Chris Pearson says he is pleased to announce that effective December 1, Shelley Snodgrass, current Senior Vice President, will take his place.
The company says through his time with Acadia Broadcasting, Pearson has been the “cornerstone of growth and success”, leading the organization with “integrity, vision and a deep commitment to local broadcasting.”
Pearson says it has been the privilege of a lifetime to serve the company.
“I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished together, and I have full confidence in Shelley’s leadership. Her passion for our industry and her strategic insight will guide Acadia into an exciting new chapter,” says Pearson.
Snodgrass has been with the company for nine years and, according to Acadia, has been instrumental in supporting Pearson in the company’s growth through radio acquisitions and launching a new digital brand, Round Table.
Snodgrass says she is honoured to step into the role, to build on the legacy Pearson leaves behind.
“Acadia Broadcasting has always been about connecting people and telling the stories that matter. I look forward to working with our talented teams to continue delivering exceptional content and service to our listeners and partners, and results to our many advertisers,” says Snodgrass.
Pearson will stay on in an advisory role to support the transition.
The company says they extend deepest gratitude to Pearson for remarkable leadership and warmly welcomes Snodgrass to her new role.
