The Nishnawbe Aski Police have issued a Community Safety Bulletin for the Marten Fall First Nation.

It’s due to recent suspected overdoses in the remote community.

Police say they are been two incidents reported, but fortunately they were non-fatal.

However, they did require medical intervention.

The bulletin advises residents that the presence of fentanyl and other potent substances that can cause injury or death, are increasing.

It also says there is a risk of fentanyl being present in any controlled substance, including non-opioid controlled substances such as methamphetamines.
