Michael Wabonge of Migisi Sahgaigan, also known as Eagle Lake First Nation near Dryden, has come home with $119,170 after winning a Lotto 6/49 second prize draw.
OLG had advised that May 17’s winning ticket went unclaimed after being purchased in the Kenora – Rainy River district, and a search for the winner was underway.
The winning ticket ended up being purchased at the Lotto One on Government Street in Dryden.
This is the fifth major win for northwestern Ontario this year.
Ann Carlson of Thunder Bay came home with $1 million after winning the Gold Ball Draw in February – after initially thinking the winning email was a scam.
Scott Dell of Sioux Lookout collected his $100,000 winnings on March 1 after matching 6 of 7 ENCORE numbers to win. His ticket was bought at the Fresh Market Foods in Sioux Lookout.
Jessica Shabaquay is $75,000 richer after winning big on an Instant Winner’s Circle on March 13. Her winning ticket was bought at the Red River Co-op Gas Bar on Government Street in Dryden.
A family of five won $250k with an instant lottery win in Thunder Bay in March as well. Their winning ticket was purchased at Mac’s on Dawson Road in Thunder Bay.
