The Northwestern Health Unit has reported 14 new cases of COVID-19 across the district.

Ten of the cases are in the Kenora Health Hub area and four of the cases are in the Sioux Lookout Health Hub area.

Follow up with the persons involved and their contacts have started according to protocol. Anyone who is identified as a contact for these cases will be contacted directly.

NWHU recommends that everyone assume COVID-19 is in their community and practise preventive measures like physical distancing, wearing a mask in enclosed public spaces and when physical distancing is a challenge, good hand hygiene, and not touching their face. Anyone who has symptoms, or who has been in contact with a positive case, should self-isolate and get tested.

Today marks the 25-day in a row at least one case of COVID-19 has been announced by the Northwestern Health Unit.
