The Kenora & Lake of the Woods Regional Community Foundation are gearing up for their 16th Annual Festival of Trees at the end of the month!

The charity fundraising event, in support of the foundation, will begin with the gala on Friday, November 29 at the Muse - Lake of the Woods Museum and Douglas Family Art Centre all starting at 6:00pm! Everyone is encouraged to head down there for a night of live music from North of Springsteen, appetizers, beverages and of course -the excitement of live and silent auctions!

The theme this year is "Vintage Christmas" and at the gala, we will find an array of Christmas trees decorated to the theme, which we can bid on with all proceeds going back into the foundation. There are still a few trees that are in need of decorating - so if you would like to put in a team to decorate a tree for the event, you can call 467-4427!

Tickets for the gala are available for $75.00 and they are available at Eventbrite, at the Community Foundation at 101 Park St. and the Museum. All tickets will be issued a tax receipt.

The second day of the festival will be Community Day all at the Muse! Santa and Mrs. Claus will be available for pictures, there will be cider and hot chocolate, live entertainment from local musicians, Christmas carols and a Christmas tea in the afternoon! To reserve your seat you can call the number above!

Tara Douglas is the Executive Director of the Kenora & Lake of the Woods Regional Community Foundation and she swung by Tuesday afternoon with more!
