Illegal drugs with an approximate street value of $86,000 have been seized and two people have been charged following the execution of a search warrant in Kenora.
As part of an ongoing investigation into the sale of illegal drugs in the region, the Kenora OPP Community Street Crime Unit and Organized Crime & Enforcement Bureau executed a search warrant in the 1100 block of Minto Avenue in the City of Kenora on Friday, July 23, 2021 at 10:45 a.m.
Officers seized drugs with a street value of approximately $86,000 and over $5200 in cash and drug paraphernalia.
As a result, Danielle Bryant, 34-year-old, and Candace Kenyon, 40-year-old, of Kenora are facing the following charges;
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking-Methamphetamine,
- Possession of a Schedule I substance-Cocaine and,
- Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000.
The first accused was held for bail and the second was released on a "Form 10" to attend the Kenora Courthouse on August 26, 2021 to answer to the charges.
