There won’t be a winter carnival in Kenora this year, but there are several free events on.
Science North is holding a weekend event called the Goose Chase Scavenger Hunt.
There is also the Rabbit Lake Winter Wonderland Sunday afternoon, including the Mosswood Adventure ice bikes and the KTown super skills obstacle skating course.
The events on Sunday start at noon and wrap up at 3:00.
Meanwhile, the final Winter Market of the season will take place this weekend.
Helena Devins from the City of Kenora says it will take place on Saturday at the Discovery Center.
“We’re always excited to see new regional and local vendors at these winter markets,” says Devins.
“But of course many of our favourites will be back with meats and baking as well as crafts and treasures and treats.”
The Winter Market will take place from 10 am until 2 pm.
