Alana Rose Kelly-Sennie has made her journey home at her residence in New Westminister, BC on March 17, 2023, she was 27 years old.
She leaves to be mourned by her boyfriend, Johnny Dodge, her mother Delores Kelly (Billy), her siblings Samantha Kelly Sennie (Adam) children Melodey & Mackenzie. Julia Dixon, Wayne Matland and Alison Kelly, niece and nephew Lucas and Calista. Brother/Nephew Daniel Vickers Dixon (Ashanti), Uncle Darcy Dumas (Anita).
Predeceased by her Dad, Roy Sennie, Uncle Norman (Sonny) Kelly, and Grandparents Edwin & Celine Kelly.
Alana was born in Kenora, Ontario and moved to Surrey, BC when she was 4 months old and was raised there. As a child she loved solitude. In the summer visiting Onigaming she would sit by the lake gazing by her grandpa’s that overlooked the lake, or she would just sit outside playing with caterpillars that did tricks on her little fingers. She was very spiritual and intuitive. She loved the Anishaabe Culture. Alana was a jack of all trades, she did office administration, construction (flagging), and studied to be a Veterinarian. She was witty, funny and had a laugh that was contagious.
Elder Lawrence Henry will be officiating the traditional wake that will be held at the Onigaming School Gymnasium on Saturday, April 1, 2023 beginning at 4:00pm, with a Traditional Ceremony following on Sunday, April 2, 2023 at 11:00am at the Onigaming School Gymnasium.
