This month is very busy for the Kenora-Rainy River Alzheimer's Society. This Saturday they're holding a big celebration. Executive director, Lynn Moffatt, talks more about what's taking place this weekend.

"This Saturday we're holding a celebration for our used book store. It;s open to the public. We have tons of used books to browse. Fill up a bag and make a donation," she said.

The used book store has been a long-time source of income for the Alzheimer's Society.

"The money goes to supporting the Alzheimer's Society. Currently we have 1,000 people living with dementia in the Kenora-Rainy River district. So it helps us provide ongoing free programs and services," said Moffatt.

The celebration is being held this Saturday from 8:30 to 1. Of course the book sale is also open from Monday to Friday from 9:00 to noon and 1:00 to 4:30. Moffatt says the special promotion this weekend is you can fill a bag with books and simply make a donations.

They're also always accepting donations of gently used books or cash donation.
