It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Anna Lee Gordon, a resident of Kenora, on March 30, 2023 at St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba, in her 81st year.

She leaves to mourn her husband of 62 years, Leslie Gordon.  She will be missed by her adoring children Carey Lee Gordon (Murray Paches); Robert John Gordon; Bonnie Jean Palmer (Mark Palmer). Loving grandchildren Robyn Paches and Dale Paches.  She is lovingly remembered by her sisters; Mary Jane Goodchild, Linda McDonald, Suz Parkin, many cousins, nephews, and nieces. 

Anna Lee is predeceased by her parents Dr. and Mrs. Herb Parkin(Sr.), brother Dr. Herb Parkin and sister Margaret Rose McComb. Also predeceased by brothers in law, Brian, Gary, and Ian.  

Anna Lee was born in Peterborough, Ontario. She lived her childhood in Norwood and Marmora Ontario.  She and Les, moved to Northwestern Ontario for work, eventually settling to Kenora in 1973 which became the family home.  She spent her time as a loved, dedicated teacher, mother, wife, and caregiver.  She enjoyed summers at camp on Hay Island before and after retirement providing numerous wonderful memories for children and grand children.  Anna Lee was an active, caring, kind and giving person to everyone she knew and met.

She volunteered at Pinecrest Home for the Aged, participated and was involved for many years with the Sunset Handbell Ringers and Scottish Country dancing. 

A private family service is being held. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made, in honour of Anna Lee, to Kenora Association of Community Living (KACL), Sunset Handbell Ringers or charity of one choice.
