It keeps getting more bizarre with every passing day.

For the third time in a week, military personnel were called into action to shoot down an unidentified object in the sky over North America.

The latest was taken out over the Yukon on Saturday.

“I ordered the takedown of an unidentified object that violated Canadian airspace. NORAD shot down the object over the Yukon. A U.S. F-22 successfully fired at the object,” Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said in a statement on Twitter.

Trudeau confirmed that Canadian forces would recover the wreckage for study.

Fighter jets have now downed three objects in Canadian and U.S. airspace, with one being described as a spy balloon from China.

During a media conference on Saturday night, Defence Minister Anita Anand said it was too early to tell whether the object was from China.

However, she added it was “potentially similar” to the Chinese spy balloon destroyed on February 5 off the coast of North Carolina.

The other unidentified object was taken out in Alaska.
