Staff with the Northwestern Health Unit are announcing another 6 new cases of COVID-19 across their catchment area.

Today’s cases include one new positive COVID-19 test result in the Dryden health hub region, one in the Red Lake health hub region, and four in the Kenora health hub region.

There are currently 86 active cases in the health unit catchment area. 32 in the Kenora Health Hub, 17 in the Sioux Lookout Health Hub, 16 in the Fort Frances Health Hub, 14 in the Emo Health Hub, four in the Red Lake Health Hub and 3 in the Dryden Health Hub.

Everyone is asked to assume COVID-19 is spreading in your community, and to continue following Ontario’s stay-at-home orders. Anyone with COVID-19 symptoms is asked to immediately self-isolate, get tested and remain in isolation until your test results are known.

Today marks the 62nd straight day that at least one case of COVID-19 has been reported in the health unit catchment area.
