The Northwestern Health Unit has reported 11 new cases of COVID-19 across the district.
One new case is in the Dryden Health Hub, six new cases are in the Fort Frances Health Hub, three new cases are in the Kenora Health Hub and one new case is in the Sioux Lookout Health Hub.
There are currently 71 active cases in the region. There are currently 31 active cases in the Kenora area, 19 active cases in the Fort Frances area, 6 active cases in the Emo area, 5 active cases in each the Sioux Lookout and Dryden areas, 2 active cases in each the Rainy River and Red Lake areas and one active case in the Atikokan area.
Follow-ups with those involved and their contacts have started, and anyone identified as a contact for these cases will be reached directly by public health staff.
Anyone with COVID-19 symptoms or who has been in contact with a positive case of the virus is asked to immediately self-isolate, get tested and remain in isolation until your test results are known.
Today marks the 67th straight day of COVID-19 cases being announced in the region.
