The Premiers of Ontario, Manitoba and Quebec addressed the media following a closed-door meeting on healthcare funding with the federal government on Feb 7 2023
Canada’s Premiers have all signed on to a new $196 billion healthcare deal that is set to completely overhaul the system over the next decade.
Of that amount, $42 billion has been earmarked to addressing staffing shortages and surgery backlogs.
The deal was offered by the federal government during closed-door meetings in Ottawa.
