Briana Rose Cameron
January 5, 1998 – March 6, 2023
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved daughter, sister, niece cousin, granddaughter, auntie, Briana Rose Cameron.
A member of Wabaseemoong, Briana passed away on March 6, 2023 at the age of 25 years old.
Briana is predeceased by her mom Anita, grandmother Flora Cameron, her grandfather James Anderson, baby brother Zachery Kakekagumic, auntie Ashley, her uncle Fred Carpenter, Great-grandparents, Maurice and Rose Carpenter, Johnny Quewezance, and Edgar and Flora Anderson and her kookums, Maureen Cameron, Sharon and Violet Carpenter.
Briana will be greatly missed by siblings, Shania (Michael), Tyler, Quinton, Dawson and Eva, her dad, Jamie Anderson (Michelle), aunties Clara, Wanda (George) Rosaline, Maureen, Cheyenne, her uncle Darcy, her poppa, Larry McDonald and her nanna, Sharon, her great grandmother, Margaret Quewezance, her kookums, Colleen, Sandra (Lance), Teresa (Randy), Beverly and her shoomis’ Mark, Marvin (Georgina), Vincent (Laura), and Randall, her cousins Lakeisha (Andrew), Ashen, Kris (Christina) Terrick, Shaye, and Justine, her nephew, James, Aaron, Ezra and niece, Davara and many more uncles, aunties and cousins to many to mention.
Briana was a loving, happy and helpful child, that family nicknamed her “Banana”. She always helped with the smaller siblings and would help her mom and kookum around the house. She had this infectious laugh, that if you were in the same room that you would soon be uplifted and join in the laughter. Briana like doing personal makeovers, such as dying her hair in different colours, and trying on different makeup. She loved to sing, taking walks and taking pictures of the scenery.
Briana, who was named after her kookum Briena, was smart and ambitious young lady who had goals and dreams. She lived in Belleville for the last 10 years, but would always made time for family even if it was just to say “hi” and “how are you?” was her way of showing how she cared for her family and friends.
Wake service will be held on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 beginning at 1:00pm at the Whitedog Community Hall. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at 11:00 am at the Whitedog Community Hall with burial to follow in Whitedog First Nation.
