The Lake of the Woods Cemetery will have its first daytime tour of the year this week. Every Friday from June until August they will have a daytime tour from 10:30 until 11:30.
Kenora's Park Supervisor Barb Manson talked about the tours.
"There's actually three tours and they are in rotation. We have Pioneer Men of Rat Portage, Extraordinary Women of Rat Portage and the Red Hot History: The Great Fires of Kenora." she said.
She noted that people who have come before should come again.
"We always like to change our tours up a little bit, so if people have come they'll hear something different." she noted.
She also talked about their monthly night tour called A Walk on the Dark Side.
"The night tour talks a little bit about the infamous side of Kenora and the ghost stories and it's a pretty interesting fun tour." she added.
The first night tour was on June 14th, and the next ones are on July 12th and August 16th. The night tour runs from 8:30 until 9:30.
Anyone wanting to attend either tour just has to show up at the cemetery office.
