The 2011 Census numbers are in, and they show some interesting trends. While the District of Kenora was down about 11 per cent to 57,607 the City of Kenora was up slightly to 15,348 from 15,177 in 2006.
According to Statistics Canada, Dryden is at 7,617 or a drop of 7.1 per cent from 8,195 five years ago. Sioux Lookout lost close to 150 people or 2.8 per cent for a total of 5,037.
Overall, Canada now has 33,476,688 residents, including 12,851,821 in Ontario and 1,208,268 for Manitoba.
Winnipeg, of course, continues to grow at 663,617 an increase of close to 5 per cent in 2006.
